The Four P's of My Favorite Movie
For my final project in my media studies class, I decided that I want to film a comedy. My all time favorite movie in the genre is "White Chicks." More specifically, I think this scene is hilarious:
In this opening scene of the movie, it takes place in a busy city, shown by all the cars and movement outside. Two FBI agents are undercover, pretending to be Hispanic men who work the ice cream shop, in an attempt to catch known drug dealers. The criminals displayed in the scene are not the real criminals, but instead the ice cream supplier, which is not recognized by the cops. The two main characters, Kevin and Marcus, think that they are about to catch them to save their job, however soon after this scene the real drug dealers show up. The ice cream shop turns out to become completely destroyed due to a shootout and the true criminals end up getting away. This scene presents the comedic feel to the film by having the actors present themselves in this way, followed by the scripted jokes.
These two agents are not taken seriously at their job because they keep failing on their investigations being assigned. This scene in particular is important to because they are already on the verge of getting fired. After this event takes place, they are given one last opportunity to keep their jobs.
The movie is about these cops who are in attempt to repair their career by going on a mission where they must protect the "Wilson twins." Instead, they end up finding themselves in a position where they pretend to be these girls instead. The movie goes through a scene of events in which Marcus and Kevin have to act like these white girls (as the name implies). They go shopping with the twins' friends, they are hit on by guys, and in the end they star in a photo shoot. By the end of the movie, their identity is exposed and their job is saved due to them finally catching the criminal.
